Sr. Pastor Emmanuel KarnleyIn the year of our Lord 2003, Pastor Emmanuel Karnley took a course in seminary called, The Trinity. This course was so refreshing, inspiring, informative, and transformational that it changed and impacted Pastor Karnley’s concept of the Church. In the course, as informed by Scripture, God was presented as One God who manifests Himself in Three co-equal, co-eternal, and co-existing distinct Persons with One nature or essence. However, these Three Persons of the Trinity are not three gods, but One God who has chosen to reveal Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit. Even though there are three distinct Persons in the Godhead, there is absolutely perfect cooperation, understanding and unity without any schism.
During the days that followed the completion of the course, Pastor Karnley started meditating more and more about the subject in Scripture. During this time, the Holy Spirit pressed upon his heart that God desires His Church to reflect and live life like the Trinity. Pastor Emmanuel found no passage of Scripture that prohibits the local church from being multi-racial, multi-ethnic and/or multi-cultural in its scope. He realizes that God wants believers, from every tongue, tribe, and race, who are saved through the preaching of the Gospel and saving power and grace of the Holy Spirit, to live, worship, serve, and live life together in unity. The Holy Spirit showed Pastor Emmanuel that He delights His Church to reflect UNITY IN DIVERSITY, i.e., many nations, tongues and tribes but completely saved and united by the blood of Christ and the bonding of the Holy Spirit. |
